“Unser Teater”, a new Yiddish theatrical venture, has been formed in New York for the production of the better class of Jewish plays. The enterprise is under the direction of the well known Jewish playwrights, David Pinski, Peretz Hirshbein and H. Leivik.
The cast of the theatre consists of Miss Miriam Elias, formerly of the “Habima” theatre of Moscow, Chaim Shneer, Bella Ballerina of the Vilna Players and a number of other artists who have had distinguished careers on the Yiddish stage in Europe.
The premier will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 9 with An-sky’s “Day and Night”, at 2135 Boston Rd.
