New Zealand imposed diplomatic sanctions on Israel, effectively accusing it of espionage. New Zealand announced the sanctions Thursday after two Israeli men whom New Zealand officials suspect of being Mossad agents were jailed for passport fraud. Jerusalem declined comment on the case but asked New Zealand to reconsider. The two men denied they were Mossad agents.
