One thousand Jews of this city protested the new British policy in Palestine. The speakers were William Hopkins, former city manager of Cleveland; Gedaliah Bublick, national president of the Mizrachi; Isaac Carmel of Cleveland, and Rabbi David Alexander and Samuel Sibulkin.

Other protest meetings were held in Schenectady, N. Y., and Louisville, Ky. A protest gathering is scheduled for Portland, Ore., on November 20. A protest resolution was adopted at Temple Beth El of Utica on Friday night.
