The orange planters at Petach-Tikvah and elsewhere have undertaken to assure the employment of a larger number of Jewish laborers in the orange groves if the Jewish Federation of Labor will agree to a reduction in the wage scale from four to three shillings daily, the Vaad Leumi was informed today.

It is pointed out, however, that the planters had formerly agreed to a cut of half a shilling daily, while the present proposal would make it impossible for the Jewish laborers to exist.
