A number of Neturei Karta and Agudas Israel members were ejected from a meeting here last night for creating a disturbance during an address by Zalman Shragai, Jewish Agency executive member. The demonstrators, who attempted to disrupt the meeting, were carried out by policemen.
Mr. Shragai, appealing for religious Jews to immigrate to Israel and thus assist in the development of religious life in the Jewish State, spoke at the first Mizrachi-Hapoel Hamizrachi meeting ever held in the Stamford Hill district, a stronghold of Neturei Karta sect members. After analyzing the religious problems extant in Israel, Mr. Shragai said that “perfection” in religious matters was still far from achievement possibly because “religious Jews in the Diaspora do not emigrate to Israel.”
