Palestine Currency Will Not Have Hebrew Names

The new Palestine currency, which is to substitute the English and Egyptian pounds in the country, will not have Hebrew names, according to an official denial issued by the Palestine government.

The statement denied a report circulated in the press recently that the Palestine pound will be named “dinar” and its division, “shekel.”
