The ordinance regulating the organization of the Palestine frontier force, which caused wide discussion among the Palestine Jews because of the exclusion of Jews from the force, was changed by the Palestine government.
In a statement issued by the government today regarding the new frontier force, it is declared that “Palestinian and Transjordanian subjects are eligible for recruitment in this force without distinction.”
Following the conference between Dr. Weizmann and High Commissioner Plumer, it was stated that the High Commissioner had agreed to make the necessary changes in the ordinance for the frontier force.
