George Mansour, head of the Arab center here, told newspaper men today that it was impossible to continue to put the case of the Palestinian Arab before the British people since it might be interpreted as taking the part of Britain’s enemy.
The Arabs, Mansour said, were not seeking to embarrass the British Government at this time. He added that the Arab peoples wished friendship with Britain and that the Palestine problem alone was standing in the way of complete friendship. Mansour said he hoped to leave shortly for Palestine, Iraq, Syria and Egypt to get a first hand impression of what the Arab peoples were thinking of the war. He expects to return to London after the Christmas holidays.
