Five persons were arrested and several beaten when the police were called to disperse a crowd of 150 immigrants illegally in Palestine who forced their way into the office of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, demanding that action be taken to have their stay in the country legalized.

Spokesmen for the demonstrators said that although many of them were well established in the country, a number even being employers of labor, they were denied permission to have their families brought here.
