Palestinian officials “still don’t get it” when it comes to halting anti-Israel and anti-Semitic propaganda in the Palestinian media, the American Jewish Congress said. The group issued its criticism after an official Palestinian newspaper referred to U.S. Middle East envoy Dennis Ross as a “Shylock” who tows the Zionist line. The newspaper’s editor apologized after the article appeared, but the AJCongress described the article as a “mistake that happens all too often.”
