Participation in the Otzma volunteer program in Israel has risen sharply. Forty-one young adults arrived in Israel last week to live and work for 10 months through the United Jewish Communities’ program, tripling last year’s number. Otzma places participants in absorption centers and enlists their help in community service projects.
