Poland should be commended for passing legislation to create protective zones around former Nazi concentration camps in the country, a coalition of international Jewish groups agreed during a June 17 meeting. The coalition – – which includes groups from the United States, Israel and Europe — also agreed to resume discussion with the Polish government concerning the preservation of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
