Poland Wins First Place in Maccabean Festival

The Winter Festival of the World Maccabee Union which was inaugurated on February 2nd at Zakopane was judged closed yesterday because the exceptionally mild weather made the continuation of the scheduled events impossible.

The first prize, awarded by Lord Melchett of England, honorary president of the Maccabee Union, went to Poland. Czechoslovakia won second place and Austria third place.
