The Austrian police authorities have handed over to the Jewish Community for transmission to Israel a police registration card filled out and signed by the odor Herzl, it was learned today.
The card dated May 15, 1901, was found by police chief Kari Holoubek in a file of old police records. He handed the document to Dr. Emil Maurer, president of the Vienna Jewish Community, who turned it over to Israel consul Arieh Eshel. Mr. Eshel will send it to Israel where it will be placed in the Herzl Museum.
