Seventy students of the University of Koenigsberg in East Prussia have spent several weeks in Poland, inspecting industrial enterprises in hundreds and doing extensive research among Polish factories.
The highlight of the trip was to be a tour through the textile mills of Bialystok, which are famed throughout all Europe.
Eager and expectant, the students came to Bialystok. But they met with disappointment. They found that most of the twenty-six large factories are in the hands of Jews, and the owners refused to permit tours of investigation.
