Prof. David Prato, a prominent Italian rabbi, will be appointed Chief Rabbi of Rome, to succeed Dr. Angelo Sacerdoti, who died recently, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, was informed here today.
Prof. Prato was recently decorated by the Italian government. He is a prominent Zionist worker and has conducted several campaigns for Zionist funds in Italy. A few years back he was appointed rabbi of Alexandria.
