Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau of Canada has pledged his country’s support “in every respect” of Israel’s right to “exist in peace as an independent state within secure and recognized boundaries, free from threats and acts of force.” Trudeau’s statement was contained in a message of greeting he sent to the Canadian Zionist Federation currently holding its national convention in Jerusalem.
