Private advices from Prague said today that a sealed train left Prague this morning bearing 700 Jewish emigrants to Vienna, where they are to embark on a Danube steamer for Rumania and thence to Shanghai. The refugees are supplied with a collective exit and transit visa issued by the Gestapo.
The refugees were without luggage, being permitted only knapsacks in which to carry their personal effects. Heartrending scenes were enacted at the Prague railway station, where hundreds of relatives and friends gathered.
A similar transport, numbering 760 emigrants, left Prague over the week-end.
