Prof. Robert E. Mathews, of the Ohio State University law faculty, told the graduating class of the University that statements expressed by Associate Justice Louis D. Brandeis, of the U. S. Supreme Court, in his book “Other Peoples’ Money”, are strikingly similar to the philosophy behind President Roosevelt’s recovery program.
He said the “extent of the coincidence would be incomplete without reminding ourselves that it is this same man who will sooner or later be one of the nine who must together pass judgment on the constitutionality of the new deal.”
