Professor Jacob Frenkel and Professor Ariel Rubinstein have won the Israel Prize for Economics. Frenkel, currently president of Merrill Lynch International, was Governor of the Bank of Israel from 1991-2000. Rubinstein teaches at both Tel Aviv University and Princeton University.
