Property of British Jews in occupied France has been confiscated and liquidated for the benefit of the German treasury, it was announced in Paris by Oberrat Rinke, member of the German military administration, according to reports reaching here today.
Other British property has been registered and placed under the control of the occupation authorities, but is otherwise intact, Rinke told a press conference.
He added that Palestinians, other subjects of British-mandated territories and assimilated British subjects were regarded as enemy aliens, as well as Englishmen.
