Prosecution of five persons suspected of involvement in the kidnapping and hiding of Anneke Beekman, Jewish war orphan, was demanded today by Dr. Isidore Hess, counsel for the Beekman family in a deposition to the Amsterdam Public Prosecutor. If the prosecutor does not press charges. Dr, Hess said, he would appeal to the Amsterdam Court of Justice.

The five suspects referred to are the Mothers Superior of a Dutch and Belgian Convent, a priest, Anneke’s former guardian and her sister. Dr. Leonard Donker, Minister of Justice, told the Dutch Senate of his regret that so far Anneke has not been traced. Prosecution of a Roman Catholic priest allegedly involved in the kidnapping will continue, Dr. Donker said.
