Rabbi Plotkin to Lead New Jersey City Congregation

Rabbi Benjamin Plotkin, spiritual leader of Temple Emanu-El, of Bayonne for the past six years, has resigned to become rabbi of the newly organized orthodox Congregation Emanu-El of this city. Rabbi Plotkin is a graduate of Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary. Prior to his service in Bayonne, he occupied a pulpit in Providence, R. I.

Congregation Emanu-El is comprised mainly of business and professional men, and is temporarily holding services in the Jewish Community Center. Dr. I. Schuman is president of the congregation.
