The New York Board of Rabbis has endorsed a call for the establishment of a consultative body of religious leaders of all faiths to deal with civic problems in New York City.
The call originated with a Protestant bishop and has been forwarded to Protestant, Catholic and Jewish religious leaders. The bishop, the Rt. Rev. Horace W.B. Donegan, called for religious action against corruption, inefficiency and neglect in the civic and governmental affairs of the city.
