Rabbis from 30 different cities representing all streams of Judaism plan to convene next week in Washington to formally establish a new national organization to enhance cooperation between Reform, Reconstructionist, Conservative and Orthodox rabbis. The group, named the North American Boards of Rabbis, will fill a void left in 1995 when the 70-year-old Synagogue Council of America collapsed. The group will have an office and staff in New York.
