The International Red Cross has informed the World Jewish Congress that it is studying the Congress’ request for IRC intervention in the Finally case. The IRC said that it would “examine carefully” a WJC memorandum asking the Red Cross to act as a humanitarian agency, and that it would communicate its decision to the Congress as soon as possible.
Replying to a Congress request that it look into reports that one of the two Jewish boys was ill in Spain, the Red Cross said that it had already undertaken an investigation on the basis of earlier requests and that the matter had been channeled through the Spanish Red Cross.
