Reich Liner “albert Ballin” Formally Renamed “hansa”

The German liner Albert Ballin was today formally renamed the Hansa when it docked here after its trip from New York. The change in name had been decided upon several days ago. Albert Ballin, one of the chief creators of the German merchant marine and a friend of William II, was a Jew.
