Rep. Edward I. Koch (D.NY) called Wednesday on the United States to cut off military aid to Argentina unless right-wing and neo-Nazi attacks against Jews are stopped. He said that the recent spread of anti-Semitic, anti-Israel literature, attacks against Jews and Jewish installations was evidence of what he termed fascism. “It is outrageous,” Koch declared, “for the United States to furnish $49 million in military assistance this year to a government whose military is killing political refugees, arresting and tailing Catholic priests and which has surrendered itself to right-wing thugs.”
