Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) introduced a bill to halt all aid to the Palestinians until they cease construction work on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem that appears to be harming archaeological remains. Cantor, who recently returned from a trip to Israel, said the site has deep religious meaning to both Jews and Christians, and said taxpayer funds should not be “spent to destroy 2,000 years of Judeo-Christian heritage.”
