Richard S. Shainwald was elected president of the Federation of Jewish Charities at the annual meeting.
Other officers chosen for the year were: Louis Sloss, Jr., first vice-president; Samuel Lilienthal, second vice-president; Harold L. Zellerbach, treasurer; Meyer M. Levy, secretary; and Henry Sinsheimer, honorary president.
