Promises to improve the situation of the Jewish population in Bessarabia were made by Prime Minister General Averescu who is now making a tour of Bessarabia.

In Kishineff, the capital city of Bessarabia, the Prime Minister received three Jewish delegations who submitted a request that the government carry out the law concerning the Jewish schools and to allow the Jewish stores to be open on Sunday.

At a banquet given in honor of the Prime Minister, many prominent Jewish citizens of Kishineff participated, following the Prime Minister’s interview with the delegations.
