Russia may have sold equipment in 1995 to Iraq that could be used to ferment germs for use in biological weapons in violation of U.N. sanctions, the Washington Post reported. The report come as the State Department is deciding whether to impose sanctions on Russian and French companies for signing multibillion dollar contracts with Iran. Russian officials denied the newspaper report.
