Preparations for the spring seeding are being made in the Jewish colonies. These preparations are progressing well, according to reports received by the Agrojoint, the Ort and the Ica. The local Soviets are supplying seeds to the colonists.

At Kalinindorf the seeding area is being extended this year from 13,000 to 19,500 hectares. The colonists will get 36 tractors. In the Krivoy Rog region, representatives of 1,500 new colonists’ families are expected. Forty-nine tractors will be supplied them. Because of the shortage of seeds, an order has been issued that settlers arriving after March 15 will not receive seeds.

The Ort colonies in the Odessa region are preparing 110 hectares for vine cultivation. The Ort colonies report that only 12% of those who came have left the settlements.
