Russian Jewish leaders expressed opposing views on Friday’s visit of a Hamas delegation to Moscow. President Vladimir Putin “should have taken the opinion of Russian Jews into consideration,” Mikhail Chlenov, secretary general of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, wrote in a statement Thursday.
