Samuel Pevsner, son-in-law of the late Ahad Ha’Am (Asher Ginsberg) founder of Ahad Ha’Amism or “moral Zionism” and one of the greatest of Hebrew writers, died here today of apoplexy after returning from a late session of the Vaad Leumi (Jewish National Council).
In addition to being a member of the Vaad Leumi, he was a prominent engineer, In his 25 years of residence in Palestine he had taken part in all Zionist undertakings. He was president of the Haifa Chamber of Commerce and of the suburb of Hadar Ha-Carmel. He was a delegate to the first Zionist Congress and a member of the Central Committee of the Zionist Organization.
