Scholars Will Be Feted at Testimonial Dinner, February 14

Leaders in the field of archaeology will gather to welcome Dr. Willaim Foxwell Albright, director of the American School of Oriental Research in Jerusalem, and Dr. Nelson Glueck, professor of Biblical History at the Hebrew Union College, Cincinnati, at a dinner to be held at the Harmonie Club, 4 East 60th Street, Wednesday, February 14.

The affair will be under the auspices of the American Friends of the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, of Whose Institute of Oriental Studies Dr. SLbright is an honorary member.

Dr. Albright, who is alos progessor of Semities at Johns Hopkins University, has just returned from Palestine. Dr. Glueck is leaving for Traniordania on February 15.

Henry Morgenthau is honorary chairman of the meeting, and Edward M. M. Warburg will be the presiding officer, according to an annoucement issued by Dr. A. S. W. Rosenbach, president of the association.

GOLDFARB NAMED HEAD OF FLUSHING SYNAGOGUE

Philip Goldfarb was elected president of the Flushing Free Synagogue, succeeding Jacab C. Holman. Reports submitted by the Various committees showed that the past year was unusually successful both financially and in an ever imcreasing membership.
