At the annual conference of the Federation of Yeshivas and Talmud Torahs yesterday at the Broadway Central Hotel 200 delegates passed a resolution declaring that religious schools are entitled to the profits on the sale of matzohs during Passover week. The resolution was based on the agreement that the Yeshivas teach children to eat matzoh during that period.
Another resolution supports the Kashruth Association in its present struggle to enforce rabbinical supervision in the poultry trade.
The recent decision to merge the Federation of Yeshivas and the Federation of Talmud Torahs was officially approved by the assembly. Among the speakers were Rabbis Nisson Telushkin and Israel Dushovitz, Ephraim Kaplan and Peter Wiernek. Isaac Allen was chairman.
