Senior government officials are considering a request by Abie Nathan, the well-known “peace pilot” and champion of humanitarian causes, to allow 400 Vietnamese refugees into Israel, Yediot Achronot reported. Nathan appealed to Premier. Menachem Begin to allow the refugees on board the “Hai Fong” ship to enter Israel. The ship is presently anchored opposite the shore of Hong Kong.
