Seven asteroids are being named after the astronauts killed on the space shuttle Columbia. The asteroids, which circle the sun between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter, are being named for the six Americans and one Israeli, Col. Ilan Ramon, who died Feb. 1 when the Columbia exploded on its return to earth from a 16-day mission.
