A gift of smallpox vaccine, sufficient to immunize 500 persons, was presented last night to a group of six American Jewish nurses leaving for a year’s service in Israel’s immigrant reception camps, under the auspices of Hadassah, by New York City’s Commissioner of Health Dr. Robert F. Mahoney. Two of the nurses are members of the city Health Department.
