Sixty-six people in Israel died in terrorist attacks in the past year, bringing the total to 1,635 since the establishment of the state. Most of this past year’s victims were killed during Israel’s war last summer with Hezbollah, National Insurance Institute Director Yigal Ben-Shalom said Thursday. Ben-Shalom released the numbers ahead of Yom HaZikaron, or Memorial Day, which begins Sunday at sundown.
