A solemn service in memory of the Jews killed in the Second World War, and the fighters of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, was held in the Great Synagogue here under the auspices of the Belgian Jewish War Veterans and Resistance Fighters. Delegates from all patriotic and war veterans associations took part in the ceremonies, which featured a procession to the Grave of the Unknown Soldier, where the perpetual flame was rekindled by members of the Resistance Fighters Organization.
