When the notes of the Egyptian national anthem were brought, Friday morning to Israel the Israeli army band was already rehearsing it, and people said it sounded excellent. It was thanks to maestro Itzhak Graziani, who picked up the anthem from the Egyptian radio on a tape recorder and then arranged it for each of the orchestra’s instruments. When Graziani got the notes, he laughed. They were not different from what he had prepared by himself.
