South African Jews to Buy 15,000 Dunams in Palestine

The purchase of 15,000 dunams of land in the Sharon Valley of Palestine in the name of South African Jewry became possible today when it was announced that the Jewish National Fund campaign here had raised an amount exceeding that raised in last year’s drive. The success of the drive is laid to the tremendous enthusiasm of the various Jewish communities despite the financial depression and the effect of the White Paper.
