Strengthening the Jewish Education Committee here and improvement of Jewish educational work, have been recommended as a result of a special survey made here by Morris B. Benathan for the American Association for Jewish Education.

The recommendations call also for higher salaries for teachers in the Jewish schools here, better employment conditions for teaching personnel, more judicious deployment of staff, and an effective program of in-service training. Also recommended are the union of several Jewish schools into one, central school. The report also proposed that the Federation here assume responsibility for greater financial support for the work of the Jewish schools in this city.
