The B’nai Brith here has rescinded its decision to participate in the Geneva conference after learning from Alfred M. Cohen, president of the order, that the majority of the districts oppose participation. This information was imparted to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today by Gordon Liverman, president of the B’nai Brith here, who stated that the B’nai Brith of Great Britain cannot act independently of the whole order with regard to participation in the Geneva conference.
Therefore, Mr. Liverman stated, its approval of participation in the conference must be regarded merely as an expression of viewpoint.
