The Democratic National Committee named Philadelphia Jewish activist and lawyer Leonard Barrack as its finance chairman. Barrack has maintained active relations with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, United Jewish Appeal and the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. He succeeds Alan Solomont, another Jewish activist, and joins former AIPAC chairman Steve Grossman, now DNC national chair, in the Democratic Party’s top echelons.
