The director of the CIA threatened to resign if Jonathan Pollard was released as part of last month’s Wye summit, The New York Times reported. George Tenet’s threat reflected the anger felt by the U.S. intelligence establishment toward Pollard, who was sentenced in 1987 to life in prison for spying for Israel.
