The governing board of the Hebrew Union College authorized the school’s Los Angeles campus to expand its rabbinic training program and grant ordination to Reform rabbis. The board’s decision puts the Los Angeles school on a par in ordaining rabbis with HUC’s three other campuses in Cincinnati, New York and Jerusalem.
