The government is taking measures to compensate farmers and Bedouin tribesmen in the Negev for losses suffered in the worst drought to hit that region in seven years. About 400,000 dunams of wheat was declared a total loss due to lack of rain and some 120,000 dunams of crops planted by Bedouins were also ruined.
